We’re excited to introduce our two-piece collaboration with Dabney Lee featuring the Dabney dress and a new version of our Amelia dress, both in an exclusive print designed by Dabney herself.
According to Dabney: “When Ophelia & Indigo showed me their beautiful line of block printed dresses, it was love at first sight.”
Two pop-ups and a few cocktails later at Dabney’s store in Rye NY, we started chatting about collaborating to create a dress. Dabney is rarely seen not wearing a dress and had always dreamt of designing one of her own. We were inspired by Dabney’s creativity, love of prints and joie de vivre! It was meant to be.
The ‘Clementine’ print, inspired by the clematis flower is a design hand-drawn by Dabney, that we loved as soon as we saw it. We had our team in Jaipur turn it into a wood block so it could be used as a block print.
The Amelia dress features an exaggerated flutter sleeve and a fitted, shirred bodice with a deep tier at the bottom. It is a universally flattering style (classic with a twist) and perfect for any occasion from a picnic in the park to a wedding in Italy. We're very taken with the Amelia in Dabney's blue Clementine print - a modern, feminine, floral design.
